Proudly Graduating from the Wejibàbandan Incubator

As I reflect on this incredible journey, I am filled with gratitude, pride, and excitement for the future. I am thrilled to share that I have successfully graduated from the ADAAWE Wejibàbandan Indigenous Business Incubator Program! This transformative experience has not only helped me grow as an entrepreneur but also as an advocate for Indigenous culture and wellness through Pow Wow FitNish.

The Wejibàbandan Indigenous Business Incubator is more than a program; it’s a community built on support, shared values, and the vision of empowering early-stage Indigenous entrepreneurs in the National Capital Region. Over the past few months, I had the privilege of learning from incredible mentors, engaging in hands-on workshops, and building a solid foundation for my business. Through this program, I developed a comprehensive business plan, strengthened my financial strategy, and gained invaluable insights into branding, legal processes, and scaling my operations.

I was deeply honoured to graduate alongside two exceptional women: Kaylee Smoke, CEO of Enska, and Denyse Nadon, CEO of Tribalure. These two remarkable entrepreneurs inspired me daily with their resilience, creativity, and commitment to building businesses that honour and uplift Indigenous communities. The friendships we forged during this program are something I will cherish forever, and I look forward to supporting and celebrating their continued success.

This journey would not have been possible without the incredible support of NACCA (National Aboriginal Capital Corporations Association) and the dedicated ADAAWE Team. Your hard work and commitment to fostering Indigenous entrepreneurship have made this program truly impactful. From the guidance of our mentors to the warmth and encouragement of the ADAAWE community, I am profoundly grateful for all the opportunities you’ve provided. Thank you for believing in us and equipping us with the tools to turn our dreams into reality.

Graduating from this program is not the end but the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Pow Wow FitNish. I am more inspired than ever to share the beauty of Indigenous culture through fitness, storytelling, and dance while empowering others to lead healthier, more connected lives. The knowledge and connections I have gained from this program will undoubtedly help me reach new heights and expand the impact of my work.

To my fellow graduates, mentors, and the entire ADAAWE community, thank you for being part of this incredible journey. Together, we are building businesses that celebrate our culture, strengthen our communities, and inspire the next generation of Indigenous entrepreneurs.

Chi miigwetch!
